succumbed to German aggression upon prelate years
1938/39. After outbreak of Second World War begun forming
of Czechoslovak foreign units below leadership of
Czechoslovak foreign government in London. Into this
units entered Czechoslovaks who escaped from occupated
Czechoslovakia and who lived in abroad lastly. First unit
was formed in Poland, where however for not completed
training didn't participate fight and was interned by
Russians. In France was formed 1st CZ Infantry Division,
which had 10 000 members, but just its two regiments
participated retreating fights during quick defeat of
France and was in a hurry evacuated without armament into
Britain...... |
