Hypotetical scenario - invasion to by Japanese occupied island of Kiska. It was a planned and executed operation of US-Canadian troops, but after the landing, it became clear that the Japanese were already evacuated.

In the Aleutian Islands - The Japanese land a small force on Kiska Island. After overcoming the resistance of a ten-member crew of the US Navy´s meteorological station, two Americans are dead, seven captured and one, Chief Naval Officer William C. House, escapes. He will flee from Japanese search teams for another 50 days before being forced to give up due to starvation and the freezing conditions. For the first time since the British-American War in 1812, enemy troops occupy the home territory of the United States. |

This action is a part of the preparations for the liberation of Kiska Island, a series of raids against the Kurils to suppress the Japanese air units stationed there and it is the first bombardment of Japanese area from Doolittle Raid in 1942. |

In the darkness of the night, based on the false radar contact of the battleships Mississipppi and Idaho, all ships fire on "enemy vessels" and before stopping it without an enemy response, battleships consume 518 356mm grenades and cruisers 487 203mm grenades. In the morning, the searching aircraft at the site of the "battle" finds nothing. Japanese Rear Admiral Kimura, with his evacuation fleet, drives undiscovered and unopposed to the Aleutian island of Kiska. |

They still has no idea that there is not a single Japanese on the island, and during tragic incidents, when shadows moving in the fog consider their own soldiers to be the enemy, 25 men are killed and 31 wounded in clashes. Shortly after midnight, the destroyer USS Abner Read (DD-526) is badly damaged by a naval mine. |

Aleutians - US troops complete a search of the island of Kiska, in which they did not track down the enemy, only four dogs. One of the American pilots comments sarcastically: "We dropped 100,000 leaflets on Kiska, but the dogs could not read." |
