On first view, main islands appears to be made quite faithfully on the PacG original map. Except the senseless lake on New Georgia, which is actually a bay. On second view it is clear that even this archipelago is solidly pig-made and map had to be completely remade. Another mistake it adding of the island of Bougainville in the northwestern part of the map. This island is in fact more distant from the other islands and landing on it took place later than the New Georgia operation. So it was therefore decided to make two scenarios and thus separate conquest of the island of Bougainville. Also in the north island of Choiseul is actually located elsewhere, and landing on it coincided with actions on Bougainville. Therefore, this battle was also taken out and added to scenario Bougainville.

Fixed: Strategic airfield in the middle of New Georgia island was removed, actually there was not any, the contrary has been made strategic airport Munda, which was port in PacG. On Kolombangara island airport was moved from the northwestern part of the southeast, according to the facts. On the Vella Lavella island was made a strategic point of the village Horaniu. Removed bombers TDB Devastator, which was at that time long discarded from equipment of combat units after Battle of Midway.

One of the celebrities is also the fighter ace Christopher Magee, who will soon go into the fight again. In 1948 he will take part as a volunteer in the Israeli War of Independence, in which he will complete in České Budějovice, at that time paradoxically in already communist Czechoslovakia, a retraining course for Messerschmitt Bf 109G machines, resp. Avia S-199.

Although he never took part in the fighting, thanks to his perceptive, cognitive and literary abilities, he got to know and at the same time describe the war, its participants, the local environment, life and local residents like few others. Now he has more than a year of struggle to publish his book Tales of the South Pacific, which will soon be awarded the prestigious Pulitzer Prize and even filmed twice, in 1958 and in 2001. Although he will publish his first work at the age of 40, it will be the beginning of a rich writing career full of quality bestsellers.

Game play matters:

Campaign play:
Americans have to occupz 6 strategic points on 5 islands in this scenario. So, in this battle break out the right landing orgy. Any result of the battle means approach to the battle of Bougainville. Major or Minor victory, however, opens door for leading of conquest of Tarawa or Makin after the battle of Bougainville.

Scenario rarities:
U.S. Air Force supported combat on the Solomon Islands from their base Henderson field on Guadalcanal, which is, however, very far from New Georgia due to the scale and range maps. So to allow American aircraft could operate, in this scen is Henderson field base simulated by fictional island with an airport in the corner of the map in the direction of Guadalcanal.
American invasion to New Georgia had been supported by British aircraft carrier. This is the HMS Victorious, which for a short time the British sent to the Pacific to help Americans who had a critical shortage of these vessels at that time. She served in US Navy under codename USS Robin.
There is American unloaded gun on Roviana island beginning of the battle, which can bombard Japanese positions at Munda. While on the island is not a port, gun can be loaded into the ship and transport it ashore anywhere.
